West MI Mechanical Inspectors Association-they will have a mechanical inspector available to answer any general questions contactors and technicians may have, and to update you on the code changes that may be coming. He will be there to assist you.

- Seminars for contractors: Get the most current information from Scott Hanna from ICF International as he will be at the show giving two, 1-hour presentation sessions (4-5:00 and 5-6:00 p.m. with PowerPoint) explaining how to do the paperwork to get the incentives / residential rebates that the program offers. These programs represent a significant opportunity for dealers to up sell in the marketplace, benefiting both the local HVAC industry and area consumers. Again this is a free service.

Michigan Energy Options – Topic is Reinvestment Act. They administer the state rebate programs for LP gas, oil, and coop. energy/power companies. This will be a selling point for contractors and a quick training session to make sure HVACR contractor members know how to receive all the energy saving possible. Again this is a free service.

HVACR Students Looking for Job Opportunities: Students are looking for full-time work as technicians, internships (10 weeks in the summer), and engineering positions.
Technician Competition form for technicians you know are great!Technician Competition-First, Second, and Third Places. The electrical troubleshooting boards will be set and ready for you to troubleshoot, just bring your meter and be ready to read the schematics, then search for the bug in the system. Be sure to print and bring this flyer with you - no entry fees for the contest.
